Roy Beck Fighting For The United States

Roy Beck is a journalist and a human rights advocate. Roy is the President, the Chief Executive Officer, and the Founder of NumbersUSA. NumbersUSA is a grassroots organization that fights for the rights of immigrants as well as United States citizens. After graduating from High school, Roy got an opportunity to join the University of Missouri School of Journalism. After he graduated from the journalism school, Roy Beck began his work serving as a journalist, becoming the first journalist to report for an environmental beat newspaper. As a newspaper journalist, Beck was recognized for reporting on business, religion, and environmental issues.

In 1991, Roy left journalism to become a full-time policy analyst of immigration and United States population matters. Beck managed to write four books on ethics, environment, religion, and the United States labor market as a political analyst. Roy has co-authored many other books that have been recognized and published in magazines, academic journals, and newspapers.

In 1996, Roy Beck decided to establish NumbersUSA to carry out immigration endorsement of two national commissions, including; Presidential that was chaired by Senator Tim Wirth and a bi-partisan congressional led by Rep Barbara Jordan. Roy also got a chance to write for Atlantic Monthly. One of his articles discussed the problems caused by too much immigration; the Encyclopedia Britannica chose the article to be included in the Annals of America among the essential writings.

Being an expert on issues of immigration, Roy Beck has been invited to give talks on television and radio programs tackling the issue of immigration. Roy appears as a speaker during events, including University presentations, congressional hearings, think tanks, and conference panels.

His efforts have not gone unnoticed, as he was awarded the United States Army Commendation Medal in 1972. Roy does not only speak about immigration issues, but he is also a volunteer in the community. His records in voluntary service include Building Habitat for Humanity houses, rehabbing homes for the elderly, and he has led an annual walk for teenagers. See this article to learn more.
