Mikhail Blagosklonny’s Revolutionary Effort in Cancer and Aging Research

Mikhail Blagosklonny is a prominent professor and an experienced scientist who works at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He graduated from First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg where he received his Ph.D. in cardiology and experimental medicine and a master’s degree in internal medicine from the same institution. In 2002, Mikhail was appointed to serve as an associate professor of medicine New York Medical College that is located in Valhalla, New York. He later joined Ordway Research Institute to work as a senior scientist.

In 2009, Mikhail went to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute where he currently serves as the professor of Oncology. The expertise and knowledge he has acquired from the various fields he has worked have assisted him to become an excellent professor. In his research, Mikhail specializes in underlying the mechanism of aging (biogerontology), anti-aging remedies, and cancer and targeted cancer therapies aimed to protect the healthy cells from being attacked and learn more about Mikhail.

Mikhail’s passion for research

Mikhail Blagosklonny serves as an editor-in-chief of Oncotarget and Cell Cycle and an associate editor in the department of cancer biology and therapy. He has worked in the Cell Death and Differentiation editorial board and editor-in-chief of Oncotarget and Cell Cycle. He introduced the hypothesis concerning the TOR that signals the potential role that helps in preventing cancer and aging. He also proposed the use of Rapamycin, one of the popular drugs used in treating cancer. Mikhail recommended the use of Rapamycin as the viable treatment for lie extension. He is known as one of the most passionate advocates of Rapamycin in longevity studies. His research fields range from cellule and molecule biology to clinical examination, and the research includes:

  • signal transduction
  • ontogenesis
  • tumor suppressors
  • drug resistance for normal cells selective protection
  • apoptosis
  • cell cycle
  • anticancer therapeutics
  • mitosis

Mikhail is the writer of aging hyperfunction theory, a book that talks about cell cyclotherapy and chemotherapeutic engineering. In his entire career, Mikhail has exhibited a keen interested in oncology, and he is optimistic that with the help of technology, cancer and aging can be controlled. Mikhail believes that cancer can be curable and it should not serve as a death sentence once you are diagnosed with it. For this reason, he recommends the use of Rapamycin. Mikhail Blagosklonny has written 300 research articles, book chapters and reviews that are published in his name. He also works an associate editor for the PLOS ONE, the International Journal of cancer and American Journal of Pathology amd read full article.

Due to his determination and hard work, Mikhail has made a huge contribution to his success of becoming one of the top oncology researchers around the globe. He claims that the love he has for humanity and the dream of living in a disease-free community are the things that drove him into the field of Oncology. The experienced scientist is concerned about the health of his people; thus, he consistently shares his concept with the public on cancer and aging issues. His efforts and contribution of informed ideas have been integral in aging and cancer research and Mikhail’s lacrosse camp.
